Im game enough for badminton at the moment! But i think im gona be thrashed. No no..can't think that way. What doesn't kill me makes me stronger. Tutored the last session and ain't any more tutoring for the moment since tutor kids' exams are over! Tutor needs a break sometimes too. 0 comments Tuesday, October 30, 2007 ( @ 8:47 AM )
Initally left one lesson with Ervin and Megan after today. Aww... how i wish they don't have to leave. Their mom noticed how much fun they had and improvements, suddenly she broke the news that the girls have extra 4 more spare days for more swim lessons before flying off, if i have free slots in my schedule.. Yipee! that means 5 more lessons (till next tues) You bet! im all smiles now. We played at the water slides. Erm... though the sign says "Only for under 12 years of age" but... this time round, i broke the rule. Ervin dragged me up and we went down the slide together. *wheee... it was so fun! Again and again. With Megan on my left lap and Ervin on my right lap well, i felt like im under 12! Wish i had that caught on video. (: This Sunday im invited for lunch with them after their pool lesson at their club. i hate bidding goodbyes. They're simple adorable kids whom melt my heart. 0 comments Monday, October 29, 2007 ( @ 9:03 AM )
Coloured my brownish fringe with mom's black dye.. *Tada! in 5 mins, its dark brown. Looks cool. Tomorrow's coaching starts at 9am. Let me be sun kissed. 0 comments Sunday, October 28, 2007 ( @ 6:50 AM )
Swim kid, Ervin cried twice during lesson. It started when she sat down in the midst of lesson and felt so quiet, thats when i sense something amiss. Thats not her usual self. Her eyes and nose started to change to pink and her reason was... i didn't involve her in the game. I did! Perhaps she was in her own little world during that moment. Everything was alrights after hugging and comforting her. I see her smile back. (: The girls (Ervin and Megan) can be quite a challenge, if they don't like particular swim drills, they wont do it. Now, thats the tough part for me to think quick and to get them interested but now im getting used to it. Probably three more lessons and they will be flying off to their new home in HongKong. Waited under a bus-stop shelter (about 50mins) near the next pool which i was about to coach. Not waiting for any buses but to wait for the rain to halt. Seated with my left leg swinging gently back and forth like a child on a swing while watching the splashes created by the vehicles drove past, rain droplets, people scurrying. One of the buses' wheel emitted smoke and that caught mine and a boy's attention. Soon, the boy was asking all sorts of curious question "daddy, why is there smoke from the wheel?" i guess its overheated. Disappointed that it rained but i guess the rain would be for a good cause. 0 comments Wednesday, October 24, 2007 ( @ 7:50 PM )
Bumped into an older church friend near the pool, initally i thought he probably won't recognise me cause i haven't seen those church friends whom i grew up in my teens for years but he remembered. Memories are still fresh in my mind. Good news, he now has a young born son! he was surprised that i look younger than he expected. *raise my eyebrow.. whats that suppose to mean? :) My baking list... chocolate-rich muffins! Blueberry cheese-rich tarts, chocolate cookies, brownies with ice cream on the top. Not forgetting my all time favourite...mudpie! sweet indulgence. Sinful? Nah.. i don't think so. They have the hot mudpie too! That's it! im determined to be a mudpie bakery expert soon! 0 comments Monday, October 22, 2007 ( @ 4:15 AM )
Time could really bring about changes. :) Did some catching up while lunching at subway with James whom i've haven't seen for 8 months. He comes and goes like the wind. Im clueless about his whereabouts but im sure God protects him! But the worst of all was.... being called auntie by him. *urgh.. Norm always calls me auntie too from her text. Hey, its not like im 'that' old. They are older. *tsk.. i tend to hang out alot with younger kids whom always brings me joy and laughter. Im definitely STILL young! God answered my prayer yesterday! He made me happy again! It was unexpectedly and instanteously which made me conclude that He does loves me. Somebody had an idea what to get for my Christmas's present! woa... i wonder.... i wonder what could it be. *smile. 0 comments Thursday, October 18, 2007 ( @ 9:37 AM )
Dropped by nor's shop while she's at work. Surprise! She was talking about me and unbelievably, the next second she saw me waving at her frantically as i was elevating from the escalator. The stunned expression tells it all. *smirk. Speaks about the 'devil' and the 'devil' appears. How often can this happened? Hmm... rarely. Nose's kinda disfunctional at the moment. Blocked nose. Making sniffing noises everywhere i go... the sniffing actions reminds me of a bunny! 0 comments Wednesday, October 17, 2007 ( @ 2:18 AM )
Today's weather was sunny! love the greetings of the Sun's ray on my skin. *smile. It was temporary last lesson with the Caucasian mom since she's flying back to her country. Gave her a friendly hug. Gona teach a down syndrome lady swimming, i think its gona be challenging but acheivable but first gona do some research on the illness. 0 comments Monday, October 15, 2007 ( @ 9:32 AM )
In the supermarket, they had trolley rides as i was pushing them while they were sitting inside, tickling while waiting for the cashier queue. Guess who's bullying who? Me vs little David! (: Was told that they had loads of fun. I love these kids too! They invited me to their home someday to bake cookies too! i think life is never ever gona be the same without swim kids.Thank God for such another memoriable day! ![]() 0 comments Sunday, October 14, 2007 ( @ 6:28 AM )
Cody and Yvonne (swim instructor friends) were relaxing and suntanning in a club pool as i was coaching. Small world! initally couldn't recognise them cause they were wearing shades and somehow looked so different they just love to be so super ultra dark! Ervin and me. ![]() 0 comments Friday, October 12, 2007 ( @ 10:17 AM )
7 of the Thomson's mmi kids are down with Hand foot mouth disease at the moment so swimming will resume perhaps weeks later. Dinner gathering of four at Manhattan fish market. We had two huge platters of food. Surprise pre-celebration for jonathan's birthday. What a mango-freak he is. Not to mention clumsy fella dropping his fork and ice water. Every table has a clown and he is indeed a funny one.*Gotcha! He had to remove the candles out from the cake, by using his mouth with his eyes closed and he was smacked onto the cake's surface twice and had mango on his nose... Good job, Kelvin! (: ![]() Am finally recovered from the cold-cum-fever! *all smiles. it almost felt like a cold turkey from withdrawal symptoms.Went back to the gym today and had fun working out. 0 comments Saturday, October 06, 2007 ( @ 9:41 AM )
Today's lesson was capsizing the water boat raft. 4 kids in the raft and i overturned the raft. *smirk. Didn't managed to escape from their clutches, so there i was on the raft and the 4 of them capsized it. Its was really fun! seen great improvements in one of the previous water phobia kid and now he is a daring kid in the water. Its a really memoriable week. i really love my job! Jonathan made my day too by giving me a huge sunflower! (: i thank God for what a sunshine dude he is now! smiling and laughing is definitely contagious. 0 comments Monday, October 01, 2007 ( @ 9:53 AM )
Had more coaching these few days with new non local learners too! It takes alot of encouragements to simply just submerge their head in the water. 0 comments |
